The Department of Defense has identified 3,890 American service members who have died since the start of the Iraq war. It confirmed the deaths of the following Americans yesterday:

INMAN, Rowdy J., 38, Capt., Army; Panorama Village, Tex.; Third Armored Cavalry, Third Corps.

PORTELL, Benjamin B., 27, Sgt., Army; Bakersfield, Calif.; Third Armored Cavalry, Third Corps.

TUTTEN, Bryan J., 33, Sgt., Army; St. Augustine, Fla.; 82nd Airborne Division.
